Executive General Manager Strategy and Business Development

Peter is a geologist with over 25 years experience in the resources industry in Australia and Indonesia.  With post graduate qualifications in Mineral Economics, he comes from an operational background with WMC Resources and with Straits at the Girilambone Copper Company. 

His roles at Straits have including General Manager Projects, Executive General Manager Mine Operations as well as Group business development.

Dave Greenwood

Executive General Manager External Affairs and Exploration

David is a qualified geologist and has more than 25 years experience in the mining industry across a broad range of commodities including gold, platinum, coal and base metals.

David has worked in production, exploration, marketing and investment analysis in Africa and Australia and has been with the Straits group for 11 years.

Gail Campbell

Chief Financial Officer

Gail Campbell, BBus(Acct) FCPA is an accountant with 20 year’s experience in the mining industry working in a variety of corporate and site based roles in Finance, Administration and Management Services in precious metals and base metals resource companies in Australia.
 

Ivan Jerkovic

General Manager Exploration

Ivan completed his Bachelor of Science (Geology) at the University of Ballarat in 1992.  Following graduation he worked with Nord Resources as an Exploration Geologist until joining the Straits group in 1995.

In 2002 he was appointed as the Regional Exploration Manager in Indonesia where he was tasked with the evaluation and target generation programmes for the Mt.Muro Operation as well as the resource expansion of the Sebuku Coal Mine.

Ivan returned to Australia in 2005 to take up the position of Eastern States Exploration Manager.  In 2007 Ivan was appointed General Manager Exploration.

Nic Earner

Executive General Manager Operations

Nic is a Chemical Engineer, graduating in 1994 from the University of Queensland.  In his working career Nic has held technical and operations management roles with CRA, WMC, BHP Billiton and Rio Tinto.  Nic’s roles have been across a range of commodities including aluminium, antimony, coal, copper, uranium and precious metals. 

Nic’s current accountabilities include both operations management and improving business performance across the group.

Harry Holle

General Manager Technical Services

Harry has a degree in Extractive Metallurgy from the WA School of Mines and a Graduate Diploma in Mineral Chemistry from Murdoch University. His early operational experience was in nickel and gold with Western Mining Corporation and Dominion Mining. Harry then joined Straits at Girilambone before spending some time working in engineering, and with MICCL at their copper project in Myanmar.

Harry has held Group positions in process engineering and technical management, as well as site management at the Whim Creek copper mine.  He currently has responsibility for coordinating Environment, OH&S, and Technical Services across the group.
 

Luke McGarry

General Manager Tritton Mines

Luke is a mining engineer with significant operational experience in both underground and open cut operations across a broad range of commodities.

Luke is currently the General Manager of Tritton Mines.
